Chicago fire

The Great Chicago fire was a fire in Chicago that burned down 2/3 of Chicago. It Happened in 1871 and killed 300 people. And left 100,000 people homeless. The fire lasted 2 days October 8 through October 10. The reason why the fire spread so much is because at the time Chicago was made out of mostly wood. The rain stopped the fire because the fire fighter community was to small to handle the The Great Chicago Fire!
